Author Experiences

Author Experiences

What it is actually like to publish with the International Journal of Integrated Law Review — in the words of the authors who have done it.

This section is open, and honestly empty

IJILR does not display a star rating, a review score, or testimonials it has not received. Ratings a journal issues to itself mean nothing, and invented author quotes are among the clearest warning signs of a predatory publisher.

So this page begins as an invitation rather than a showcase. 72 authors have published across our four issues. As they send their accounts, they will appear here in full, with a name and affiliation attached, and only with the author's written permission.

Have you published with IJILR?

Tell us how it went — the good and the bad. Two or three sentences is plenty.

What we will ask you

So that what appears here is useful to the next author rather than decorative:

  • How long did review take, from submission to decision?
  • Were the reviewers' reports specific enough to act on?
  • Was the editorial office responsive when you wrote to it?
  • Was anything about the process unclear or slower than you expected?
  • Would you submit again, and why?

We publish criticism alongside praise. A page of uniformly glowing notes tells a prospective author nothing, and readers see through it.

How your words are used

PointOur commitment
PermissionNothing is published without your explicit written consent.
AttributionPublished with your name and affiliation. We do not run anonymous testimonials — an unattributable quote is not evidence.
EditingTrimmed for length only. We do not alter your meaning or remove your criticism.
WithdrawalWrite to us and it comes down, no reason needed.
InfluenceGiving or declining feedback has no bearing on any future submission you make.

Meanwhile, the checkable facts

Until authors speak for us, judge the journal on what can be verified independently:

  • 4 issues, 56 papers, 72 authors published since 2020 — all free to read in the archive.
  • Double-blind review by two independent reviewers on every manuscript — see the Peer Review Policy.
  • Authors retain copyright under CC BY 4.0 — see the Open Access Policy.
  • No fee to submit or be reviewed. The article processing charge arises only on acceptance, and waivers are available.
  • No impact factor is claimed, because the journal does not hold one.

Every paper we have ever published is open. Read a few and judge the standard for yourself — that is a better guide than any testimonial.
