Leveraging Artificial Intelligence to Digitize an Integrated Land Information Portal and Mobile Application: A Preliminary Analysis

Abstract

In a vast expanse of land like India consisting of an area of 32,87,263 square kilometers, digitalization of our country's land is inevitable and is the need of the hour. With the advent of technology, the world has shrunk. In today's accelerated lifestyle, where no one have time, the problems of the multifaceted lethargic various departments dealing with land records contribute towards maladministration and delay. The only way out is nothing but a wholistic committed effort towards digitalization of land records. Integrating various land related information from multiple sources is a futuristic approach for public access through a authentic portal and mobile application. A combined portal system for data management by consolidating information's such as ownership, boundaries, land use and legal status provides simple access, improved accuracy and actual transparency of the given land. The goal of this prototype is emphasized on combining the information and records such as field measurement books, registered sale deed, encumbrance certificate, taxation details and other liabilities on the land. With this Integrated digital portal, the public will be provided with a complete combined data on land records. This can easily weed out fraudulent sale of poromboke land as patta land, and misrepresentation on sale of lands that have restrictions on building residence.
